How to list your TV honestly (and still sell it)

Guests who expect one thing and find another leave reviews about it. Clear wording protects your rating.

Smart TV with casting. Stream Netflix, YouTube and more from your own phone using your own accounts. Nothing to log into on the TV, and nothing of yours is left behind when you check out.

Amenities

• List “TV” as an amenity
• Add a casting or streaming amenity only if the platform offers one and it is true in your room
• Booking.com and Agoda show a “Streaming service (like Netflix)” facility; tick it only if you are comfortable that guests understand they use their own account

Words to avoid

“Free streaming”, “Netflix included” and “free movies” make guests expect an account that is not there.

Put it where guests look

Keep a one-line version in the house manual and on the card next to the TV.
